Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain

Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain

10/10 Excellent
"Stunning location, fantastic space around each cabin. The underfloor heating and fireplace made a huge difference and the fact that they were on when we arrived was awesome. We didn’t see or need the staff while we were there so can’t comment on them but likewise we didn’t need them. I would suggest that the cleaners need to invest in some feather dusters to get rid of cobwebs; there was quite a few on our cabin but we loved our stay and will go again."

"The room was great with a wonderful view. The dinner drinks and breakfast was fantastic. Nearly everything was perfect except that the rooms are not soundproofed even slightly. I felt like I was in a hostel. The noise in the passage way till about 10.30 at night coming from people and families and children and then again in the morning was so loud. Really spoilt our stay unfortunately"

Lake St Clair Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Our cabin was mostly clean apart from a few dust webs that only showed up when the lights were on. All the important surfaces, (benchtop/shower/toilet) were spotless. Bed was comfortable and warm. Lovely lass in the reception/cafe/dining area of the lodge pretty much doing everything as it's 'off season' so very quiet. Had a lovely chat with the owner, Michael, before dinner re his history at the lodge and his signature branded rum, gin, wine etc. The lodge is very welcoming with a warming fireplace, antiques and leather chairs adding to the alpine ambience. Well worth a stay in you are in this area."
